i actaully finished a drawing after so long!!! 
okay..its not so good...and i can see so many mistakes in it even now..but i think it turned out okay.used a print out of a picture i found when searching google as reference...but unfortunately i dont have a digtal version of it now..but i'll try finding it okay.
i don't even know her name..so if anyone thinks she looks like some celebrity you know..tell me so oki
would greatly appreciate any comments and critiques coz i really wanna improve on my drawing
EDIT: the scan ate up most of the shading..if anyone knows how i can scan pencil drawings right please tell me ok.

Anyway...this is very good. You've done the hair very well - you got the shine and all in it. The eyes are great - very lifelike

Its a great drawing. And even though you said your scanner ate the shading, it still looks very good.
I don't know if it's of any help, but made a scan tut not long ago. [link]
But it's more aimed towards removing shading (to get clean lineart). Perhaps if you do the opposite?

The hair is stunning. I love the shading on the face, how it looks somewhat like cross hatching and it fades.

actually i did use a cross hatch technique for the intitial shading

Agree with a previous comment...you might try to develop that hand more. BUT...the hair is absolutely beautiful. It takes a sensitive touch to get that right. I really want to reach into the screen to pet it. But alas, I only get a static electrical shock each time I try.

Great picture, i love the hair, the shading is gorgeous. The face and eyes are very nice too, great shading on both. Overall this is a great picture and i love it, that hand in the corner is the only thing that isn't so nicely done but its easily overlooked in my opinion wut with all the nice detail around it

Ive never seen such immaculate hair till now. I'd have said that its a great piece, but as u have asked for true stuff: look at the two eyes closely, ull see that left eye is out of symmetry from the right eye(at the bottom) and its usally a problem with my own portraits. Then the shading around the nose gives an impression of flat nose. The fault lies in the shade between the eyes. You gotta shade it there.
