Description
August Perret's masterpiece built from 1951, the Saint-Jospeh Church is located in Le Havre city. Its 107 m bell tower has 12,768 colored glasses and is a real spiritual beacon, a landmark of the city.
Once I entered inside I realized that the entire structure is made of reinforced concrete beams and nothing else. The thousands of colored glasses are an alienating sight, the silence and the soft lights create an atmosphere that I had never experienced before.
It's uncommon for me to be so amazed by something at my age but this time I felt a very strong emotion, I was speechless.
