Red was all he saw. Blood was all he smelled. War was all he heard. Rage was all he felt.
And he loved every second of it.
His Power Claw* was drenched in the gore of the last Guardsman he ripped in half, the Chaos Terminator not feeling his bloodlust wane the slightest. His hulking form stomped towards another Loyalist dog, the puny mortal desperately firing miserable Lasgun blasts into his heavy armor. It almost made the Chaos Champion laugh before he punched his gnarled left hand right through the Guardsman's chest and into the stone wall behind him.
The clanging of Bolter against Ceramite made the Chaos Champion turn his head towards a Commissar, the baleful enforcer rapidly approaching with his Power Sword drawn.
"Traitor!" the Commissar bellowed as he prepared to charge.
With an unsatisfied 'hmph', the Terminator swung his fist into the Commissar with enough strength to rend the Loyalist's body in half. Lumbering towards the upper half of the Commissar, the Khornate glanced at the steely glare from the dying man at his feet.
"Glory...to...the Emperor..." The Commissar spat as blood gushed out of his torn waistline.
"Your skull is not worthy of the Blood God." The Chaos Terminator snorted before crushing the Commissar's head under his heavy boot.

Just a detail though... why would an Imperial soldier be speaking the name of Khorne? How does he even know it? Imperial citizens that aware of the taint of Chaos usually end up being wiped by the Inquisition, right?

You are absolutely right. A small, but important, detaill I overlooked. However, there are cases that Imperial cititzens were not exterminated after surviving Choas. Maybe they were the lucky ones and were overlooked due to some bureaucratic error. Most of them were just executed tho as you pointed out, and they shoudn't be aware of Chaos gods, let alone their names. I changed it

Does he have a connection to Horus or the Black legion? Maybe a former member of the first company, judging by the Tactical Dread armor?

Actually, he was a former member of the 1st company (you have an amazing eye for detaill). He never joined any chapter afterwards as he was too corrupted and too powerful to handle. He became a renegade and was lost to the Warp. He eventually managed to return, even more frenzied with power now. Planets burned in his path. It didn't took long before Khorne took a liking in him...

I can see why Khorne is pleased, one can only imagine the terror filling the hearts of those who see this towering giant appearing in a blood-red mist.... xD Sorry, got a bit carried away, but I can almost see him marching ominously on his foes.
