Description
Odette is a rather graceful hamster/songbird gryphon who delights in the fineries of life. She is part of a trio made for a craft fair but unfortunately she didn't sell. She will be on my etsy after an upcoming exhibition however if you are interested in buying her then please note me.
22/01 Odette is now for sale on Etsy!
She is fully poseable and made from fimo, faux fur, stuffing, tinfoil, floral tape and wire. Her eyes are map pins and her whiskers are fishing wire.

I have a link to a tutorial I wrote in my signature. Also if you haven't seen it already, I have a group called where you can see more posables by other people and get some inspiration!

I love the fur on her! And that face is just so adorable.
Would you say oven baked clay is easier to work with than air dry clay?

I haven't worked with air drying clay much, but that's water based isn't it? The polymer clay I use has a texture I love because it doesn't stick to your fingers. For sculpting and carving its a bit weird though. I might try air drying clay sometime.

Yea, it is water based. It cracks a lot though, since it shrinks when it dries. I'll have to try polymer.

Yeah I bought some yesterday to have a play around with it and found it quite hard to work with until I remembered that using wet tools helps a bit. And yea the shrinkage was a problem. Polymer is great

These creatures are really cool and interesting! Have you ever been to the Bristol Rennasaunce Fair? Because they make cool creatures there too, but yours are more intricate. My father would be really impressed, his user name is sculpterboy1, I think you would be impressed too!
