this looks right out of a game! Question: how do you paint the lighting on the models and the temples? Is there an overlay mode you use when you do that? Because sometimes when I try to paint over the model a bit its a bit opaque. Or is it just practice?

Well now they make sense to the background story of the picture. I wanted to fuss around the content. I find it hard to believe they may have violated some laws so hard that they deserve to be bombed. Maybe you could say the fighters are going to kill a big ancient monster or something...?

Yes, every item is carefully adjusted with different types of adjustment layers...each clipped to a specific item. Lot's of practise and following tutorials. And still learning.
