The sepia tone and small details, like the ravens on the body in the marsh, help to add to the unwanted, miserable, harsh feeling of the picture. Very nice job conveying the sadness of this place and time...It definitely feels like a place people wish didn't exist, but does.

This is a powerful scene you've depictedΒ in my opinion: a scene that could indeed have many different stories.
One might be that this takes place in an area of nuclear fallout, & the crows on the body have either been their for a while, feasting as they please; or maybe the person standing had just shot the other human for a reason unbeknownst to viewers of this image, & the crows are so hungry that they are already approaching.
We wonder, who is the man standing all by himself? Doth he come from near or far? Is he a line surviving soldier that has either somehow survived so far against great odds; or be he a deserter? Does he wander aimlessly; or is he headed to a specific destination, for a reason we the viewers shalt never know? Is he even a man at all for that matter?
Maybe it is all so much simpler: this might very well be a pictured scene of a zombie apocalypse, but in an area that had little human life to begin with.Β
All theoretical banter aside, I love this image! It has a great ominous feel to it, that is amplified by every single aspect of what the viewer's eyes can take in. Your lighting, scaling, & attention to detail are superb: great show!!
