Description In case you didn't clue in from reading the title, this is an illustration based off the novel Life of Pi by Yann Martel (you know, dude with awesome hair?)Google, my friend, and you will be blessed with an image of hair that YOU CAN NEVER HAVE HAHA.

If you have never read Life of Pi, then you probably have no idea what this is all about. And guess what? I'm not going to explain it. The book or this painting. What's the fun in that?

If you want to take a guess, go for it. I'd actually love to hear what you have to say.

I do love how this came out. I've notice with watercolours, I tend to make my colours go BAM. I sure use a lot of paint..

I loved the book. The ending was very powerful. Great interpretation too. It kind of represents the awkward balance that exists for most of the story, along with bleakness of the situation. Bravo!

I haven't reached the ending yet, but I've heard that it is quite powerful.
Why thank yar.

I liked that you incorporated a lot of the book's elements into your illustration. Nice job with the watercolors!

I loved the book (Read it 2x). Like you, I was inspired to do a little illustration myself! If you'd like, you can check it out in my gallery!

Thankyou! I'm quite enjoying the book so far. It kills me that I have to pace myself because I'm reading it for english class.

Hah, I love the style you drew Richard Parker in! It gives him such personality! Nice job <3

I'm only about half way through the book (I have to read it through school) but I really like it so far. It's not for everyone though.
Haha thanks <3<3

Oh my gosh, it took me forever to realize that it was a pi symbol. I'm terrible. I was thinking up all sorts of naughty things it could be before I tilted my head a little and came to my senses.

Lawl, I had similar thoughts just before I posted this. Just how many people will stare at it, questioning it as a symbol of who-knows-what, before they realize that its a harmless mathematical symbol. xD
