I've done a few, mostly I just do pictures from my own concept work, usually of geisha and stuff like that

Nope I'm not of asian descent, but I study Japanese culture and traditions. Geisha are female traditional entertainers, they play music, dance and sing, and lots of stuff. I really like to draw pictures of them because they're really elegant and very pretty in ways that are totally different from western standards

i really love the piece, but the black borders RUINS it. Its such a delicate piece, and the black is just so bulky and intrusive. It also gives the impression of a gradient around the sides of the drawing, because it is so much in contrast to the lighter edges.

I did the black borders to make it look sort of like a matted peice ready to be framed.
thank you for the comment!

Oooh.... Using vectors for this style of art seems best... This is absolutely gorgeous! Love seeing traditional Japanese art like this. You've done a magnificent job, definitely deserves that Daily Deviation! ^o^
