Kaname's eyes are red in both the manga and the anime, so I'm not entirely sure what you mean when you say that you don't like it - it is a fact, and every single other cosplayer for Kaname has always used red contacts when they have bothered to be accurate about their eye colour. I'm sorry that I did not manage to portray the "perfection" that you speak of in the drawing, but at the end of the day, I am just a cosplayer trying to recreate a loved character, this is a test cosplay photo, and I am not the actual drawing itself - there are many things in drawings that can never be recreated in real life.

i didnt mean to offend u. I mean is a really good photo, but not my taste, besides i did NOT say i didnt like the eyes i just said that it was a really cool effect. And also i just meant the "perfection" its was my polite and nice way to say didnt like it. sorry

If you did not mean to offend, then I think it would be better not to comment at all - I speak not only for myself but for all other artists and photographers etc on DA here. Had your comment been constructive, with actual substance as to why or how you did not like it rather than "oh it's not the perfection of the drawing" or "it is not to my taste", it would have been excusable, but if it had no substance whatsoever other than expressing a subjective view with no backup, then I think it is best to remain quiet. There is no "polite" or "nice" way of saying you don't like something - if you have no reason (as far as I can see) as to why you don't like it, then don't say it at all if you truly did not mean to offend anyone.
Also, apologising when you are still in effect saying that you don't like something or offending someone does not reflect well on your person - it makes you seem extremely insincere in your apology, and is likely to anger the other party even more.

Dude, I'm chilled - you don't need to keep telling me to. I was just trying to stress that had your comment been a CONSTRUCTIVE comment it would have been a lot more appropriate for this site. It won't make me feel better to insult you or your drawings, because that is just childish behavior - there is no point in insulting someone else just for the sake of it, nor is it any use to pretend that the conversation never happened. You just don't seem to understand what I am trying to say, and are automatically extremely defensive.
I was merely pointing out the fact that had you not wished to offend anyone - not just me, but anyone on this site - you would do a lot better to either comment with constructive criticism or better yet, to not comment at all if you have nothing constructive to contribute but merely want to express your personal opinions with no backing up or reasoning whatsoever. If you don't like a drawing or a photograph, say WHY you don't like it - the point of this website is not for you to look at and comment whether you like it or not, it is to help artists improve when they showcase their work, and where it is due, to give praise for a job well done.
There is no need to be sorry or to apologise that you don't like something - as long as you explain WHY you don't like it, then there is no harm in giving criticism. It is when one says sorry yet does not appear to mean it, or to back up their own comments, that it is inappropriate. I do not expect anyone to automatically like any of my work, in fact, quite the opposite, nor do I want or expect people just to suck up and say "ohh your cosplay is perfect, you look just like the character etc etc" since those words are pretty empty. I would rather get constructive comments that crit my pictures or my cosplay when there is something off, so in that way, I can actually improve where necessary, rather than be complacent as to where I am.

Deviantart is meant for constructive criticism. On the subject of politeness, if you don't like a photo, then it would be more "polite" to suggest possible improvements.
If you have nothing to say about the matter, or if you feel that there is nothing that the artists could do to further improve their work, then the best thing to do is to not say anything at all, at the risk of offending anyone.

I never use my real hair when I cosplay nowadays... wigs tend to give the volume and stiffness that is needed for styling anime/manga styles and are much more flexible to work with than real hair. XD
It was actually a long flippy wig that I cut and styled msyelf with ~rosiael that I got off ebay randomly about a year ago. ^^
