Story (RP between Oxy and me)
Oxy:
The pub was lively and noisy, filled with the competitors celebrating or bemoaning the results of the Alpine Hohentauern. Luther among them, though in typical fashion for himself he was neither upset nor relieved. He simply thanked the barkeep for the large stout and stepped aside to let the person behind him step up to the counter to order their drink. He took a swig and moved back toward the door, content to simply observe the other patrons.
Lib:
While most of the evening John spent his time either chatting with the other entrants and guests about their experiences during the event, he found a moment to excuse himself from the little crowd he was talking to and get himself a new drink. 'A nice beer would be a good option' he thought to himself as he took another glance back at Aileen, who was quite occupied chatting with some people she knew. For such a nervous person she is, it was quite fascinating how fast she could find her place with friends, even if her natural anxiety never seemed to fade. Not even after drinking a few...
The older man asked for his drink, thanked the barkeeper for it and stopped away to let others reach the bar and check what they wanted to drink. He gazed around, with a smile, checking all the different faces finding their little group to share their life with, but he stopped his gaze on a man, standing quite alone, most likely enjoying some observation time, just like him. He nodded towards the man.
"Nice to have some time for ourselves, right?"
Oxy:
Luther turned to acknowledge the older man who had approached him. He recognized him as a rider from Azure Straight and he tipped his glass in a salute. The noise in the building was increasing steadily and Luther had to lean towards him a bit to hear what he said.
"I'd say so. Honestly I prefer the company of my horses than most people," he replied, raising his voice slightly.
A noise from outside caught his attention and he turned to peer through the window to see Rhett pawing at the wooden steps in front of the door. His lips quirked in amusement at the stallions antics. When he first had acquired the horse, he had wanted nothing to do with him but now the Oberteraur couldn't be alone for more than five minutes.
"Would you care to take this outside? The fresh air sounds good to me right now."
Lib:
"No disagreement here, horses do be wonderful companies." John agreed, raising his voice too, after seemingly it was impossible to hear anything in this noise.
"Sure, it gets a bit crowded here, let's go." the older man nodded again, following the other man outside, where they were instantly greeted by a stunning stallion, most likely the horse of this gentleman by the way the pangaré boy was behaving.
"You surely have a nice lad there." John complimented, but he swiftly turned his head to his right, as a familiar noise grabbed his attention. Certainly, Snowdance had to notice her human going outside and the grey mare trotted happily to the little crowd, and contently started to nibble on her human's coat.
Oxy:
The winter air was certainly refreshing as Luther moved to stand outside with John. He stretched a hand to pat Rhett affectionately and 'hmmed' in agreement to the other man's compliment. Naturally, as Luther moved to stand in the slush, Rhett noticed the stout he was holding and promptly bounced against Luther's side in an attempt to snatch the drink from his hand. Luther glared at the stallion. "No, off. You can have some in a minute," he told the horse in a firm tone.
A silver mare then caught his attention as she trotted over to their group and chewed on John's coat. "Oh Snowdance! She's looking very well. I enjoyed your recent performance at Whittemore," he complimented, but was prevented from saying anything further when Rhett made another grab at his drink.
"Oh go on then you silly horse," he laughed, moving the glass towards the horse and barely containing his laughter as the stallion looked to almost grin in excitement.
"You'll have to excuse Rhett here. A good stout is his favorite treat."
Lib:
"Thank you. I am quite pleased too how she behaved on one of her first shows." John smiled, following Rhett with his eyes as the stallion made his way to get from that stout.
"Hey, the lad has a great taste." He smirked, kind of almost jumping a bit as his silver mare sneaked her way to his other side and silently slided her head under his arm, only making some blepping noises and a funny, almost puppy-like eyes. John couldn't help, but slightly laugh up at this scene, turning to Luther, nodding his head towards Snowdance.
"You see, my mare likes a good drink too." He smirked, glancing at the mare, as if he allowed her to do what she wanted. Snowdance at this shot her head up and gladly stuck her face into the beer.
