My timing is excellent.. (and I don't often brag)
I tried once, to use motor drive.. it missed everything key to the shot..... I normally "get it" in the first three as in one, two, three..all good. Repititions only happen because of dancer's technique.

It does... particularly where you can see why technique isn't quite working.. you can make remedial suggestions ... it's harder work with a poor dancer as you have to try and shoot around their inadequacy and photography is so unforgiving; what can look adequate in a stage movement is really exposed at 1/125. I've had more than one CV job client get rather depressed about the exposition of the actual rather than the self-percieved ability when shown proofs.
