I was looking through the critiquable feed and your image stood out to me as one of the more visually grabbing.
Normally, I go in depth on color use and different analogous/vibration schemes that people use or misuse but your use of color looks on point e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h… " width="45" height="20" alt="
Aside from that, I don't normally delve into the realm of manga/cartoon/anime art so I can't comment much on the conceptual/emotional aspect of the image. However, from what your color scheme tells me, there is an overall sense of eternity, waiting, and cleanliness. The small jagged lines worked in with what seems to be a dodge tool reminds me of either waves of crystal clear water or small currents of electricity, which both evoke a sense of sterility and purity.
The only thing that confuses that notion are the jaggedly growing branches of trees you depicted. They almost look dead at first, but since a few have leaves they start looking like thorn bushes, with contradicts the original illusion a bit.
(Keep in mind, this is my sole opinion gathered from my first impression of the image, other people might see something completely different.)
Looking at the girl, I see nothing that would possibly put her into any type of context or give any type of back story. Her expression is neutral and she is very artfully posed as if in a fashion photo-shoot. The only aspect of storytelling of any kind I see is her little finger tracing circles in her knee, which makes the entire image for me. This small detail gives the atmosphere of waiting and of patience, which plays nicely with the color scheme and the before mentioned notions of cleanliness and eternity.
The only thing I have left to touch on is technique based and has to do with your use of the blur tool. It works wonders around the hair to add more atmospheric perspective and three-dimensionality to the girl. However, the illusion of receding into space is broken and actually severely confused by the time you leave the hair and go into the lower dress/leg area. The portion of the dress that's blurred is coming towards the viewer and it's on the same plain as the rock to the right of it. Yet one is excessively blurred and the other one is crisp as day. The same happens with her feel.
If it's meant as an affect as if rain drops were trapped on the "lens" that is taking a photo of the girl, then the effect should be as prevalent in other important areas where the eye wanders and should not blend with other uses of the blur tool- such as when you create the atmospheric perspective in the hair. My general advice would be to keep all unnecessary blurring away from the subject of your work to make them more the center of attention.

Yes I agree, I wanted them to be dead, shouldn't have added the leaves to the branches, that's an error indeed.
