In only a matter of seconds your whole life can change. It is after those few seconds that you begin to realize all your plans, expectations and wishes may never come into fruition. It is in that moment where you must make a decision, hopefully one reached through meditation on whatever you believe. I had such a moment at the end of March and is why I have been hesitant to post anything. Due to a manufacturing default that has now caused eight class action lawsuits against a major American auto company to be filed in Federal courts, I was in an accident that should have killed me. I broke all the vertebrae in my lower back and several in my neck. The fantastic news is I am alive. The bad news is there is nothing they can do to alleviate the problem of these broken vertebrae. So why am I speaking of this? My first novel came out two weeks after the accident. I cannot travel to do book signings, speak about it on NPR, or market it. My dream lies at the hands of Amazon.com and a worthless publisher. I had two other dreams very close to my heart that I so dearly wanted to accomplish. I will do so for those are dreams that can have an impact on hundreds of lives. I have the grants to do so and once I can get out of so much pain I will bring them with the strength and faith of my Lord into being. Until then, I shall pray each day for strength and relief from pain. I shall believe He will stop me from shaking so that I can once more pursue that which I love the most and that is writing and art. Though, I am much better at writing. I want to thank ALL of my friends and supporters here on DA for their continued faith in me. Much has been said about this community we have here and I am adding to that a yes it is a community - a community of wonderful and talented and caring artists. To ALL of you NEVER give up on any of your dreams. You will - no matter what - get them accomplished if you keep your eyes always looking up. Thank you and as well as morningstarskid for your prayers and Mark thank you for all your teaching it has surely paid off in spades. I love you all,
