I thought about it and to me it looks more like Dionysus the Greek God of Wine, the Life Force and the Wildness of Instinct. A young man dressed in an animal skin, he carries a staff and sometimes is seen as a bull or a goat. Looks more like him.

Looks like a scarecrow yet it also resembles a robot, the parts of the body are so different. I am glad it is not coloured, somethings are best left to a deviant's imagination. The shading and detail are absolutely gorgeous, this kind of work is rare indeed. Now you titled it Hermes? The Greek God of Communication, Thought and Travel. I am not sure if you were trying to portray him here or not. Either way this is a very good drawing, like I said before, it is rare to find such detailed and steady drawing. Great job.
