The twins are adopted by Aoine but the twins were separated on their eleventh birthday.

Xavier was thought to be dead and because of that fact Xander and Aoine were heartbroken and are in despair but Aoine felt that he's responsible for Xavier's death and is enraged because the murderer has escaped but not without scars.

Xander ever since became close off to others but not to his family because they are the only ones he have left, and he promised to make sure other children won't experience what happened to him as well.
