I wanted to draw the rooftop scene from the Power of Three partly because of the strong happy/sad feels it left me with and partly because of how incredibly pretty Karen looks in it.Oil pastel on paper.
Too big for my scanner, sorry the photo's a bit blurry. I need to learn how to take decent pictures of my drawings.

Thank you! I used to hate working with oil pastels in school, I think I'm getting the hang of layering colour now though.

It's OK but It's hard to cover the paper

If you don't mind a slightly grainy texture you can use light coverage to your advantage though. I've used dark blue/grey paper here and you can still see it coming through in some of the shadows, some of the lighter areas are very thickly layered.
