Finished this today. Graphite on Bristol Smooth 18x24 Original photo by Mayoke [link] She's a really wonderful photographer and catches the native spirit through her special relationship with them. This was taken with a camera.this [link] is the scan I took of it but couldn't get the whole drawing in it so here's a closer look.

well it's quite involved but basically it's 2B, 4B over that and smooth with a magic rub eraser and then pull out hilights with a sharp eraser. the highlights are done by drawing around the small hairs and some pull from an eraser.
