Did a quick sketch of Bronx from Gargoyles. Even though Bronx is named for the baddest borough in NYC, Brooklyn is actually my fave gargoyle. I might draw him next.Related content

Very cool. Bronx is one of my faves, Brooklyn is actually in last for the Manhattan clan (well, unless you factor in Angela). Hudson is the man.

I'm the opposite. Brooklyn is actually my fave. Hudson is cool too, and I like Angela. Don't really care for Lexington or Broadway.

I think my favorites are definitely Brooklyn and Demona. Demona was a beast. So was Hudson. Remember that ep when he found out he was going blind, and had to fight without being able to see? That was great. I would love to see a remake of the Gargoyles series (as long as they do it justice of course!)

Heck yeah. Hudson is far and away my fave. Scottish accent, blind in one eye, huge beard, wears armor and uses a sword, and watches TV with Bronx all day. And yeah, I really wish they'd revive it and give Greg Weisman his show back.

Yep. For it's time Gargoyles had incredibly well-rounded characters and a good storyline. You never really saw that from a Disney series. It was mostly just TV series made from their animated movies, like Aladdin.
I heard there are plans to make a live-action Gargoyles movie. Not too sure about that one....

I don't have a problem with them making a live action movie. What I DO care about is the fact that it doesn't have anything to do with the show. Disney's lost their minds. I can't stand it. Me and a bunch of fans are trying to get them to change their minds since it's so early in development, sending letters and stuff.

I didn't read much about it. So they're basically just using the Gargoyles name, but the movie has nothing to do with the actual series? That sucks! Why would they do something like that when they're practically sitting on a gold mine with the animated series? If done right, a remake of Gargoyles could be huge.

I know. Check out my latest journal entry for a full explanation. I'm so pissed about it, as are a ton of fans. Disney has been really ticking me off lately, with the single exception of Princess and the Frog. We need more of that.

I read your journal and you make a very good point. Sadly, at the end of the day, Disney acts like exactly what it is...a business. Which can mean that sometimes money takes precedence over a quality product.
That being said, I was very happy with Princess and the Frog. Disney really needs to make more 2D animated films. I heard there's another 2D film in the works.

True. A glimmer of possible hope popped up today though. BOOM! comics vaguely hinted at a possibility for a Gargoyles comic, or at least acknowledged that the demand is there.

Thanks. Yeah, Hudson was pretty cool. The only one I really hated was Lexington. He was so scrawny...I felt like I could take him on.
