This isn't a painting! You're just taking animals and coating them in resin

Your wrong.
It's an optical illusion.
They just layered up acrylic paint and clear resin.
Ignorant.

I use to have a couple of these turtles a few years back that I wild caught. They were very tame and ate from my hand, but they died when I left on a trip. I guess no one will care for my animals as I will. I take great comfort in the memories that your paintings being to me.

That turtle's scutes are screwed up. They aren't supposed to be shaped like that.

Out of all this beauty you see that? I don't notice any messed up scutes. Even if they are, it's not noticeable with all this magnificence.

I've raised turtles for 8 years. It bothers me to see turtles that are deformed. The scutes on a turtle's spine is supposed to be shaped like this <_> and there is only supposed to be one row not two.

There are turtles of this kind with two rows. There's a forum about it with photos here: www.redearslider.com/forum/vieโฆ
I daresay the artist used various photo references and the choice to use two rows rather than one was deliberate. To me, doesn't take away from the piece at all, just makes it more unique. (:

Some of it is actually nature collected. It stays preserved in resin!
