That's what I would say too, one of those Japanese looking tapestries...or has that feel to it anyway. Very cool effect Ruth! Glad to see you having so much fun with the HDR program. It's awesome isn't it?

This is fantastic! It makes me think of really fancy stationary, haha. It's pretty neat that you can get such an artsy image out of a photograph.

Oooh, very cool! Makes me think of those Japanese wall hanging type things. It would be fun to blow it up huge and hang it on a wall.

This is GREAT! It looks like an old litho print, and is a strong graphic but a delicate lovely well balanced image. Keep experimenting. LOVE it!

Reminds of Oriental silk prints. The motif, the composition, the subject itself. Looks pretty cool.
What's the program your using?

I thought so too! I'm thinking of putting the orginal pic up in scraps 'cuz it is a rather cool photo in its own right...
The program is Dynamic Photo HDR 4.3 I got it from and here's the link [link] once you're on the page - ignoring the porn stuff - go to near the bottom of the left hand column...you're looking for the Dynamic Photo name, click it and follow the links. (But it is only a PC program...)

but still, you did a good
job with this even if it is
moving sliders.
blossoms and lichen have
such pleasing shapes to
play with.
would be a great spring
series of cards.

I'd offer you the link (it's a free download) but it doesn't work on MACs unless you want it for L...

ParadigmParadox In reply to kayaksailor [2009-04-16 15:59:03 +0000 UTC]
Thanks, but I have enough toys to play with in Photoshop, etc. at the moment. And L is too busy til the end of the semester to play. I'm also trying to go back to basics for a while and work on my traditional art skills again. I have paint, pencils, and who knows what else sitting around this house that I should use up.
