This is super, super gorgeous. Something I would frame and put up on my wall for sure. I fell in love with this piece and pretty much already love you and your work
The waves are wonderfully and so interestingly detailed and reminds me of zentangles. Have you ever tried doing zentangles?
The whiteness of the whale is so beautiful and I'm glad you chose to keep it blank rather than filling it in, and the border is great too because it balances all the blue hues in this picture with the white. What paper did you use? My watercolors always come out really, really bold but I kinda prefer them that way, lol But I'd still love to get that actual watercolor effect going.
I absolutely love the way you did the sky, the watercolor effect is so perfect for this piece and the stars are lovely. Just little white dots, yet so perfect.
I also love the detail of the ship. And I like this angle you drew it all in too, it's different as though the ship is careening off course, and maybe that ship is a representation of our lives and how their are gentle giants underwater ready to help us remain afloat more than we realize at the time.

I've never tried zentangles before, but that's defenitely something I'd like to do
I can't really tell you which paper I used for this painting as I often try new ones, but I think it was 300g and cold press.

They're pretty cool, it's a lot of like linework and shapes and stuff, I think you'd be pretty good at it. I don't have much of the patience or interest in it myself ahah.
