Description This is my SJ contest entry.
To be frank, I don't like it. I did it in a very, very short course of time because I lost track of the date and I realized the contest deadline was coming up. XDD
First of all, the scanner would NOT pick up the colors right...
Second, Sanji looks hideous. For ME to say that, it must be bad. Especially several aspects of his shirt and his hand.....>X( Shouldn't even be posted here due to Sanji alone....and other parts of it....I don' know WHAT I was doing with that hand. 8P

Zoro looks decent....his face and hair are a bit strange, but he's decent. Compared to the rest of this, I rather like the way Zoro's back and swords came out, especially in their original color. It's not as good here, but oh well.

I recommend using Brick Beige for the "golden-ish" of the swords, but either leave white space as a highlight or use Opaque White...

Brick Beige also works for Luffy's hat and the buttons on his vest.

I wanted to do a background so badly, but with the quality of this pic, it wasn't worth it.

Ah...I don't like it, and don't think it'll win, but you're free to like it.

*glomps the picture* You are amazing! Sherlock Holmes and One Piece! Whoa. TWO IN ONE! XD I love your art so much!
I notice some things are off, but overall it's an amazing picture. I absolutely adore the hat. Sanji's hair is kind of odd, though.

Looking at it, I still don't like it very much, but I think I did a good job on Zoro (esp. his torso & such) which is odd, because I usually don't do well drawing Zoro. XDDD

I think it's really, really good... but yeah, as you said, the off-ness is noticeable to people who are so used to the normal look, ne? But even so, the colouring MORE than makes up for anything that you think is wrong.

Sanji's funky, but I wouldn't say it's bad.

I love Luffy's hat! I'm always drawn to certain parts of a picture....and I was instantly drawn to that! 8D

I think this is absolutely superb! The three characters look great, all with excellently drawn expressions which are very fitting for each character, and the poses are brilliant! X3
The colouring is really fantastic too, you've done an awesome job with it!
