Description
Deep in the most ancient and forgotten forests of Seref, where few humans have ever set foot, prowl the ancient progenitors of the present day Smilodon, which in turn gave birth to the smaller, common great cats that roam the countryside and outskirts of civilized lands.
The Primal Tiger is a massive feline that tops 4'6" at the shoulders and boasts a heavy, compact frame like that of their smaller cousins the Smilodons, and thick powerful legs. Their fur is rough and shaggy, ranging in color from rust-red to dark orange or tawny, with a lighter underbelly and face. The markings on a Primal tiger are stripes similar to those of a regular tiger though often more sparse, they range from honey-brown to yellow. The head of a primal tiger is boxy, and their maws sport medium length sabre canines. Primal tigers have blue or green eyes.

Often considered a myth, these great cats are very rare and are almost never found outside the hearts of ancient temperate forests.

About the art: I whipped this up pretty fast today to give an example of the colorations and basic body type of a Primal tiger. No shading or anything.
I am in no way attempting to lay ownership to this color scheme or body, it's all based on natural patterns!
