It will be 2 years this year, in the upcoming month of August, that I lost my best friend, my surrogate little brother, and co-owner of JustRWBY-RK, Ryu (real name: Ryan).

I actually created this tribute piece for his parents as a Christmas present last year.

The song "Cold" sang by Casey Williams, which was also a Special Thanks to the deceased Monty Oum, was the best choice . . . especially to describe how many of us felt with Ryu's untimely passing.

. . . To be honest, it still hurts when certain things remind me of him. I may joke about him with others, but when I am just by myself . . . I stay quiet and think.

. . . He was young; just turned 21. He would have been 23 in 2018. Despite that age, he was inspirational and had dreams. I swear with his personality and ideas, he could change the world. I thought small, but he always thought big. And now . . . I can only do a few things in his steed. A little sad when I say that, but I know I still need to try.

His parents were delighted, and of course teary, when I presented them this. His mother filled with tears, his father close to it, but it made them happy; happy that Ryu had a great friend like me.

They told me not to hide this; this has been on my laptop for at least a year now, might as well show it to you people.

I am sad that none of you got to know Ryu like I did. I bet if he was still around, this account would show his vibrancy; all of the puns he would make and all the "crazy" ideas he would present.

However, I thank you all for just watching and enjoying this account. It has some of his spirit, and . . . I will continue this account as long as it is allowed.
