No, no, of course not, my friend, because you removed all awkwardness and hate between Harry and Snape. It makes his death almost peaceful. He was always my favorite literary character, because of his heroism and immense love for Lily, and it was something so beautiful to see how complex he was. Though he was a bully, he still was honorable and fought until the end.
