Spring, the new beginning! This is a little drawing inspired by Sharpened Edge May's challenge: "Why I love Spring". The little twist here is that my Spring is not a young beautiful girl. Spring comes every year as long as the planet is revolving around the sun, so why should she be so very young! I think a nice Grandma is more likely.Related content

ahh!!! It's Mother Holle! That is one of my favorite faerie tales of all time! I know it's suppose to be spring and Mother Holle brings winter snow but, can you blame me? lol

Mother Holle is my favourite too, and if this is how you imagine her, it's very much OK to me. She's wise old women; maybe she just acts according to the season.

thank you very much! I have already seen here on DA an elderly lady in similar role (I'm not sure, was she Spring or some kind of flower/vegetation fairy? anyway, she didn't look young...) so the idea itself isn't so revolutionary. But my Spring Grandma looks different
