Description
Pin lighting, color harmony, and S curves were used in the design of this image. I imagine a world underground where waterfalls, split by stalagmites, cut caverns through the soft limestone. The moisture and scattered light that filters through holes in the cave high above creates an ideal environment for moss and magic mushrooms to grow.Related content

got a question: how long have you been painting with colour? I just started recently and my goal is to improve my skills so that I can create fantasy worlds and landsights just like you do

I've been digital painting for just over 2 years now. If you look at some of my older stuff in my gallery, you'll see how much I've improved.
If your goal is to improve, I would suggest studies. It doesn't have to be a study of an entire picture, but you should focus on it and really try to understand what's going on within it. Once you get enough studies under your belt, you'll be able to combine them together into an image of your own design.

Thanks. This took maybe 6 hours? Most of the images I can do under 8 hours. Sometimes I do 2 in one sitting.

Særene was a protected habitat. It was seldom visited - and when it was, the travelers knew better than to step off the beaten path. Stories of adventurers going into the depths of the caves and outcroppings and never being seen again were commonplace. Særene was as serene and calm as a still ocean at night, but just as dangerous as one in the midst of a hurricane. Know one knew why exactly. Some speculated that the fauna of the region were actually alive and could swallow a human in seconds. Others guessed that the air itself protected the unseen creatures and fauna from trespass.
All anyone ever knew was to steer clear of this most beautiful region. Even if it sang to them otherwise.
[wasn't my best story for this, but I went with it nonetheless]
