Description I never really liked the reimagined Zerg Lurker as it appeared in StarCraft II. I took elements from the original design, the SCII iteration, the modern Hydralisk and Anub'Arak's Lurker skin from Heroes of the Storm, and assimilated them together. I also incorporated some elements from the Lurker Den to round it out.

I much prefer this version to the Lurker's modern design.

Maybe I'll finish it one day.

Awesome job! That is a really really cool head carapace design.

Thanks!

The SC Field Manual seems to imply the Lurker's spines erupt from beneath or from within the headpiece, so I added some spines directly beneath it.

As for the head proper, I've always been a fan of the Xenomorph Queen design, who possesses a large crown and a distinct head segment. From studies I've done on the range of motion of a Hydralisk's head, I've determined there's probably a similar layout beneath a semi-flexible carapace, and tried to capture that underlying structure here. This layout is somewhat reinforced by the Lurker's remastered portrait, where there is a distinct line along the coronal plane between its head and carapace plate, located just posterior to the sagittal spines.
