I am amazed at how much these empty benches tell about a community, even if it might make more sense tgat they were meant for tourists.

What caught my attention is that the benches are placed facing away from one another - it is intended for seing the larger picture - the outside world, yet without communication with those in your proximity. It tells a story... By nighttime, the introverted sightseers and passerby returned to their homes, and the spotlight still shines on these four benches - themselves silent, introverted and perhaps even unaware of their counterparts.

Now i know that I might be crazy for personifying a sittinf spot,  but what would one say to the other, given the opportunity, I wonder? Perhaps something happened between them, that they turned their back on the light, and on each other forever, like a sibling rivalry as old as history. It might even be a circle of unrequited love. 

The night sea and city lights shining around them like stars of the night sky a perfect spot for contemplation, even for chairs who can't speak and might have nothing to say to their neighbors. All is quiet, but perhaps lonely, and tense, and forever lost in regrets... 

I might have gotten carried away, but that's what a picture like that does to a person - it evokes a story where none might have existed before
