As for the questions ... Um .. Maybe go for once a month, as I think that's a good pace. Once a week could get hectic after awhile.
Themes sound awesome! Paintings, jewelry, mediums, styles, colors, holidays, events, frequent favs/commenters, etc. Oodles you could do there.
Artfire? Though, I don't know if you mean, like 'clubs' that all like/support a selling or art medium, or if you mean the selling site/guild/whatever itself. But, yeah, I have Artfire (artfire.com), love it, and SO want more sells ... As in .. any sales ... >.> .. ~clears throat and toddles off~
