hey, a pointer to you: Indraprastha is far older than Moorish culture. I can see some Moorish influence in the buildings just a pointer to youΒ

For some reason, for majority of westerners, east means IranΒ Β .

That said, the conquest of Iran-Persia and later parts of India influenced back the whole muslim world as well - like the adoption of curved blades inspired by local designs, shamshir and all, and the continual influence of persian language(s) in litterature and translations of usefull books...
And yes, that went into architecture too, I was told.
It may be the 'moors' who took ideas from those grand old (related) cultures...

If that is so, then those 'ideas' are curiously absent in their architecture.

I'd say someone with extensive knowledges of eastern architectural traditions may see similitudes. Or maybe not. Eh.

Indian architecture is actually nothing like it. I advise looking up the pics on Angkor Vat Β or Jagannath Puri temples. to see how traditional indian architecture looks.
Eg:Β blog.onlineprasad.com/wp-conteβ¦
Compare that to the traditional muslim designs: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charmina⦠, or just google Taj Mahal, or the mosque in turkey.
We see this type of mistake often in western depictions of India: Indians are depicted in Persian/Islamic traditions, clothing, architecture etc. Inexcusable in this age of google & internet.
