Wow! This is a great likeness! You got his features proportioned very accurately. Great tonality of the skin, which is what I always screw up when drawing people. Oil pastel is clearly the answer for drawing and texturing shiny, wavy hair. Eyes are nice and sharp but you didn't over render wrinkles of skin and left the suit less developed to draw focus to the eyes and hair which are his most interesting and unique features.
I was wondering where you used each material. My guess:
* Graphite pencil -- roughing out features, maaaybe for darkest shadows at edges.
* colored pencils -- skin tones, eyes, bowtie
* pastels, pastel chalks and oil pastels -- oil pastel hair, pastel chalk shirt and suit
* white charcoal -- eye light reflection spots, maaaaybe light areas of tie?
* white ink -- spatter in background
* watercolor -- background, potentially parts of the suit?
Anyway, really well done! This is a great portrait of a uniquely attractive person who is very hard to draw.
