Description
Talk about resting your headAfrican Lion - Range: South & Central Africa - Habitat: Savannah
Status: Vulnerable
Photo taken at Magnetic Hill Zoo, Moncton, NB
The lion is one of the largest members of the big cat family, being outsized only by the tiger. The females are the hunters. After the kill, the dominant male eats first, followed by subordinate males, females, and cubs. Lions are the only large cats that live in family units called prides. Prides consist of a dominant male and females with their cubs.

Lazy feller. I see the same posture with my 4 cats on the deck. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Gorgeous photo.

He has his own playground, will never go hungry, and gets free medical treatment and checkups! What's not to like?
