i actually just watched this series and wanted to to that cosplay. what did you make the mask out of, since it looks great, and can you see through it?

Its made with fiberglass base and no, can not see through. You can cut the eye part open and replace it with black fabric, but it won't get the plastic feeling like the anime.

good point. i was actually thinking of trying to find some of those pitch-black sunglasses and use the lenses from that so that i could see through, but people can't see in, and it would still have that plastic feeling you mentioned. but i'm still new and haven't made my own props before, so well see what happens.

lens require skill hand sanding to get it down to the right shape without cracking.

true. i was thinking of just attaching them behind the holes for the eyes to simulate depth as well, but it would look better if they fit in, and that would require hand sanding.
