I gotta wonder... Ganondorf didn't look THAT much like Demise before the whole Seven-Years nap thing... then he grew long hair, got a lot more buff, and started wearing more flowing clothing. So the question is, was Ganondorf actually anything like Demise in personality before he went in, and did Demise possess Ganondorf and THAT'S who you've been fighting the whole time?

Well, it is speculated that Ganondorf is the incarnation of Demise's hate. I know I am pulling this from wiki, but...
"In his final breaths, Demise vows that an incarnation of his hatred will be reborn in a cycle without end, cursing those with the blood of the goddess or the spirit of the hero. Demise's curse of the incarnation of hatred seems to signify the reasons for Ganondorf's existence and the tribulations that he causes for Link and Zelda's various descendants."
I don't think he is possessed but rather incarnated. Much like Hylia became Zelda. That is my theory at least. I believe Demise and Ganondorf are probably the same being and probably share the same beliefs and mannerisms. My only question would be more along the lines of whether Ganon is aware of his connection to the Demon King. So I guess in a way you are fighting Demise.

Demise looks like he's hugging himself. 
This is one epic piece of artwork! I adore how you've drawn Ganon, even the minor details on his outfit make a huge difference. This is brilliant, really well done.

XD The Ganon I RP with says Demise is his soul and when he performs dark rituals Ganon sort of becomes Demise and takes on some of the Demon king's characteristics. I wanted it to be Demise in the background, yet give a feel of transformation. *laughs* But I guess he does look like he is hugging/making out with himself.
