Late reply, but are you sure about that? They have always been common and uncommon, lately they have been making them rare and mythic (like worldspine or elderscale).

not realy sure, this guy here is uncommon and the cards you mention are from last year. However wizards said that they want to make hydras the iconic green creature and not worms. Lets hope WOTC keep making awesome worm as I love how badass they are.
