Description
My entry for =f--l--A--r--k 's Apophysis Challenge #13, the new splits-elliptic style using =SaTaNiA 's tutorial . Now, wasn't I already in the thick of it?A relatively simple interpretation exchanging cylinder for hyperbolic and adding a phoenix_julia final xform.

Congratulations on your win!!! This is so wonderful!! I adore the texture and movement you go in this. Very well deserved win! And this one had some very tough competition.

It did indeed have strong competition - I was surprised to take this one!

Good luck with the contest. Did you change many variables on the FX? It seems when ever I try to use a Julia for a final, I get a blurry thin area in the center.

The parameters are there for your exploration! It was just the y-distort I changed from default 0 to 1 (for some reason, x-distort = -0.5 is default, rather than the expected 0
). In general for the julia family, I come in on default (power = 2, distance = 1) then reverse one of the signs (doesn't matter which, it's relative) and then perhaps explore a different absolute magnitude to the distance. Once the ratio is established, it can be maintained for higher powers.

I like this.
One remark and a question.
I see that the parameters no longer have a smiley on "pallette". I saw it one other time recently. Do you think someone has got rid of the bug?

Thanks for the tip.
