...of course Joan of Arc didn’t fight. I was referring to her armor. Which was traditionally worn by males. There was no armor made for females during that time. I was referring to armor design and the fact that the armor is not feminized 😊 as your previous post seemed to be complaining about the lack of femininity to the design and how current culture has changed to way in which female characters are depicted. Your post suggests that women are no longer depicted as “sexy”.
I was merely stating that the artists representation is probably accurate to armor design relevant to Joan of Arc. But I digress. Unfortunately men are sexualised too, and represented unrealistically, but Hollywood. Hollywood does this. Hollywood has always sexualised humans. Think James Bond. Wonder Woman or Harley Quinn.
You have stated:
“sexy female or even attractive female character in media anywhere. it simply isn't allowed”
Two Words Harley Quinn. She fights in hot pants ffs, lol.
In reference to female fighters and females competing in the same fields as men there are examples of women all through history.
Your previous post has stated “in fact if you look into any female warrior character you will find that she didn't actually fight“ so let’s look into that.
Female Samurai Warrior -(1180–1185) Onno-Bugeisha - A female warrior belonging to the Japanese upper class. Many women engaged in battle, commonly alongside samurai men. They were members of the bushi (samurai) class in feudal Japan and were trained in the use of weapons to protect their household, family, and honour in times of war.
The Vatican Women’s Rifle Team was disbanded in February, 1938. Sister Juliette left to join the French resistance as a sharpshooter. She was credited with the assassination of several Nazi officials and awarded the Médaille Militaire.
There even were females who went undercover during Nazi Germany who assassinated gestapo soldiers...they do exist if you choose to look.
You have stated in your previous post:
“All this constant lying isn't healthy for society because it presents a false narrative and puts the reason why women didn't play a big role in the past from womens biological limitations instead on made up "men's bigotry"
It’s not a lie that women were not previously allowed into medical school. That’s a fact and just one example of gender based discrimination.
I do have a question for you. Are you suggesting that because women are biologically different than men that they are incapable of fighting? Or a higher education?
I’ve fought. In the ring. As an mma fighter. Have you? Do you have a masters degree? I do.
In addition women “being allowed to vote” as you have stated in your post obviously suggests that women were previously not allowed to vote. Which in turn suggests discrimination. Are you referring to The Suffragettes who fought for equality? Because if you are it was women who fought for equality to vote. The fact that it was eventually given to them is due to the fact that they had to fight for it to begin with...because they were discriminated against.
I have to admit I get a little weirded out by pple who are not Boomers who preach about “Biological limitations” that are somehow inherent to females. It’s such an odd, outdated view of the opposite gender.
I thought this perception had died out with the Boomers but it seems to be still alive and kicking.
Like, somehow all of the gender discrimination that women faced throughout history is made up and a conspiracy designed to “simply just make all man look bad”.
I’m not a feminist. I do believe in equality, for everyone. What’s so wrong with that?
Pfft “women’s biological limitations” no offence, but you kinda sound like a boomer.
