This one was super fun to draw !
First of all this one of my all time favourite characters in the western comic book history. I wanted to catch the mood the way it works for me for this character. I can't stand it when the art direction for him is happy go lucky or bright and hopeful, it's not part of the core of this character. He has to be out of luck, beaten down, chewed out by his life and the only way he can stay sane is through violence and self-deluding himself with excuses for it.
Second I think I'm getting a good grasp of the watercolors better now and it feels good It was a challange to make the illusion of detail on the background on a small size like that and to keep the foreground and background's color values separate wasn't easy with this material.
