Description A commission for of four bookmarks based on the four seasons. They're done in watercolor, primarily, with just a little bit of white acrylic ink. I had a lot of fun with this commission. One of my favorites.

Excellent technique and rich yet subdued colors.
Your style reminds me of Arthur Rackham a bit, whom I've always admired.
Good idea having an animal present in each season.

My name is Therese Davis.
I am a graphic designer by trade and Earth Advocate by choice (o:

At present time I am designing a 2012 calendar for Willowbrook Wildlife Center in Glen Ellyn IL.
Willowbrook rehabilitates injured and orphaned native wildlife and releases them back to the wild once they are ready.

This years calendar theme will be nature through the eyes of children, in the form of drawings.

This is a volunteer effort on my part, I receive NO monetary payment for what I do. ( design + print = no charge )
Willowbrook, however, will sell these calendars in an effort to fund the expenses incurred in helping the thousands of animals they see each year.

I was hoping it would be permissible to use your Four Season art (with credit of course!) on the last two calendar page spreads that I set aside each year for something important and pertinent to the subject.

Thank You for your time and consideration in this request!

ha! i do. but america has some fantastic scenery, mid-west.. whats it like there?
yeh england's cool.. nice cosy country, but the weather is so temperamental :@ but this paintin for me, visually sums up the best of each season in the uk, nice job

hibbary In reply to unveilpure [2011-09-01 14:46:44 +0000 UTC]

Welp... we have a lot of corn fields and cows. It's somewhat flat where I live but is more hilly to the south. Some forested areas. The really amazing scenery is out west. Though I do like the state parks around here.

Our weather is pretty temperamental, too, though... We had a heat index of 45c for about two weeks in late July. It can get down to -24c in midwinter. They say that if you don't like the weather in the midwest, wait two weeks. If you're not blown away by a tornado first. We get those in the spring.
