She looks innocent and slightly amused while using magic to lacerate some soldiers... I suppose this is more in vein with the pin-up style rather than naturalistic style?

Awesome, clearly. I also have a question as a sometimes aspiring digital painter. How do you create those perfect thin arcs of color/line/light? Like the bright purple ones in the top of this picture. I always have trouble making evenly thin arcing lines in photoshop. I assume you've figured out the trick. Help a gal out? I'd really appreciate it.

Could be a lot of things, but I usually use the pen tool. Set out some paths with that, and then you can have PS trace them with the brush or make selections out them.
