That's OK, sometimes titles are little more than 'space holders'. In this case, Gumby is a cartoon character from yesteryear. The center object in this piece vaguely resembles the shape of Gumby and in my warped sense of humor it appeared he was being tortured. Probably due to the fact that as a child I tortured my toy Gumby mercilessly. I feel it was not all my fault though as in my opinion the toy was made with the violent intentions of devious little boys in mind. This is what Gumby looked like [link] . It was made of hard rubber with a stiff wire frame so you could pose it into rather uncomfortable and painful positions. However, my Gumby suffered much more than the simple indignity of bone breaking, awkward and embarrassing poses and eventually suffered a fiery death for which I was promptly punished. I miss my Gumby dammit!
