Description My first 2011 piece ... South Australian summer.

My friend Damian came to visit just for the end of the year and we walked quite a way up the road (I live in the country so no houses, only paddocks, trees and wild flowers). Its amazing what a decent walk with someone can do for the inspiration and imagination. We went to an abandoned cottage and waited to shoot the sunset, which was golden.

Its softer focus on purpose

Love it! Love how sky seems dark and somehow whispering something bad like, you know. Like saying that something wrong's about to happen and the meadow is so calm, waitting for that evil...
This picture reminds me my childhood days, when my father, sisters and I went fishing. And how we ran home, when rain used to start.

The colours of the clouds seem so ominous and they look like they're invading that bright blue sky. And the grass is so peaceful. It makes me feel very conflicted.
I really like the colours and tones of this piece.

Thanks! The reason the angle was much lower is that I was trying hard to get my shadow out the way

Yeah, would be a bit of change from the heavy grey you're used to. It will be spring before you know it though
