I can't say what it is I love about this. In some ways it seems like a photo. I think it's the depth of field? It just grabbed me. I found myself staring at it like I might have missed something. Very cool!

I think it is the clever use of shadow vs. light and perspective.

I love how it looks super simple and yet has just the right amount of details to work. Lovely with the bouncing light and the saturated color at the shadow edges. It must have been a blast to paint this
