Description
This is the view from my bedroom window.Done with ink and markers on watercolour paper (I am, as you can see practicing on drawing backgrounds)
Should I outline the horizon with a thicker line? And what should i do about the windows?

the objects closer to the viewer should have thicker lines... objects far away, have thinner lines... it helps give a depth perception to the work.
the windows i would make a pretty dark grey... unless you are doing a night time pic, then people may have lights on...
yeah... everything is so smooth and blended nicely.

it's a good title, too.
i really like this piece overall, and i think anything you might considering doing to the windows would be over-complicating it. they stand out but don't demand individual attention as they are, and adding reflective texture or anything else to the empty white space might muddy that quality a little.
very good background piece. comes across very natural.

oooh, i like this. it's very simple, and yet very powerful.
and this may be just me being silly, but the houses look japanesey. maybe it's the fences. which is a neat contrast with the fact that the title references a welsh movie.
for windows -- what i would do is decide where the light is coming from... and then take a light colored marker... and color in all the windows, but leaving white places of "glass shine streaks"... if you know what i mean

i know what you mean. And I'll consider it.
The houses are very norwegian, but i loved the book alot when i read it. I haven't seen the film though...
thanks for the fav. makes me very happy!

*grins widely* Thanks. Tria markers yes, but the sky is watercolours, because I can't seem to draw good looking skies with markers.
No ink pens. It's just india ink and a really thin brush.

I have a lot of things to comment on, but I choose to comment yours now, rather than later. (Only one so far I've taken time to look at) But wow. I seriously love this. I think the windows are fine, but as you suggested, you should darken the horizon. I love how this seems poignant, I don't know...but it just works.

An awsome comment and a fav at once. That rocks, thanks <3
I probably will darken the horizon, and to the windows, rescan and replace and scrap this version, but I won't do it now. I'll do it later.

No problem. I know how it is to not get any helpful comments, so I try to do my best if that's what the artist wants.
All right, sounds like a plan. Just do it whenever you want.

I don't understand much portugese, but I think I can answer anyway:
I used markers and watercolours on watercolour paper.
The paper is a bit bigger than a4. My scanner is a4 sized, so I can't go bigger than that.
I got a fav! Thank you so much <3
