Personality:

Theo is a soft and gentle man, he is caring and approachable by everyone. He will give something he does a full attention, however he may get distracted so easily if he encounters something new. He is a good listener, and is willing to give advice and comfort, though sometimes he feels that he doesn’t do much help towards others. Theo is greatly patient, however he is too mushy and kind towards others while he has a right to get angry and fight them back. Even he may unable to get angry if he is not heavily provoked. This may lead others to underestimate or not respect him, and if these got worse or happened for a long period, it might lead him to self-loathing. But when it comes to help someone, he will do his best to help, even may do something desperate and reckless in the process. And when things turns out so wrong, he may as well go panicked and insecure.

Bio:
Theo was a single child in his family. He had a mother who had difficulty in bearing a child, thus when he was born, she and her husband rejoiced and named him Theodore, which meant ‘gift from God’. His parents were protective towards him and forbade him to go near the surface, however it was hard to hold a curiosity that Theo often sneaked out and went against their disallowance. There he encountered a human, an old lady who lived on a village by the shore. He was terrified at first, however he found out that the elder was kind—she was different than other humans. Theo grew a fondness towards her, and they often meet in secret.

Days and weeks passed, Theo formed a strong friendship with her. She was like his own grandmother, and Theo learnt pretty much about humans from her. However, unknowing that this meeting would be the last, one day when he visited her again, she gave him a heavy warning that a group of fishermen would fish on his territory. Theo went back to pass the warning to his friends and family, and they quickly fled. Unfortunately, many water creatures were caught in the net, including a shark, which was Theo’s mother’s companion. Theo was desperate to keep them safe, he went after the fishermen to help the poor fish and the rest. Albeit he managed to ruin the humans’ catch for the day, he was heavily injured in the process, his fish tail was scarred severely and his fins were torn off. He became handicapped, unable to swim, and he was brought by the fish he saved to flee.

Realizing the urgency of Theodore’s safety, the shark brought him to the Bermuda Triangle. After a long and tiring journey, they finally reached the refuge of the merfolk and collapsed.

Thoughts on humans: “It’s not all of them are evil, some of them are not as bad as my kind generally thinks.”

- Pinkuppi is very docile towards all merfolk, as long as they don't threaten Theo's or her own safety
