Description
Acrylic on 8"x8" CanvasI actually finished a painting! That never seems to happen anymore. Anyway, I liked the horse better without the background, but I couldn't leave it that way... so oh well.
I really do dislike acrylics, but I suppose it's good for me to get some practice with them. Although I nearly always paint in black and white when I'm using them.
Other than that... enjoy. I'll be starting another painting tomorrow night, and I've almost got a drawing finished. That will be more art accomplished in these past two weeks than in the last year!
Oh... and I couldn't think of a creative title...

//I'm horrible with paint of any kind really. :'3
Anyways, this looks rather cool. ^-^b Like some of your other stuff, it seems kinda rough, but there's a certain like, surreal charm to it~?
Either way, looks pretty cool. :3 Nice work.

I'm pretty bad with anything but oil paints. xD
Thank you! I tend towards a more impressionistic style, but I'm far from mastering it, so most of my stuff probably does look rather rough. I'm glad you like it though.

The contrast of the light and dark really work well in this, good work!

I think this is beautiful. And I like that you have used acrylics to capture the rough textures and expressionistic look rather than for vibrant colours. there is a stunnig sweeping motion in this work, moving towards the bottom of the page, but it is balanced out by the curves of the texture in the background. You've given the horse a personality!

Thank you so much! One of the primary reasons I used black and white here is because of how textured my painting style is. I normally use oils and I didn't know how well my style would translate into acrylics. I just didn't want the added complication of mixing colors with a medium that I'm not quite comfortable with yet.
And sorry about the late reply.
