This was going to be a redo type thing of the ID I did * for the #TwilightPrincessFans club before it was a group~Buuuut... It didn't work out that way, so now it's just some picture that sort of looks like some OLD DISGUSTING LOOKING THING that I did back in the December of '08.
This started off in Muro, actually, and I finished it in Open Canvas 1.1. On one layer. @A@;;;;;;
I got the sketch and some of the coloring done, but then it crashed. I had it saved, though, and you can see what I had done here .
Might as well request some critiques since I actually put a bit of effort into this one. XD;;

I like the colouring on the skin! So much better than what i can do!
I also really like how you colored the eyes, especially the irises, there's like depth to them *w*
For critique, i would suggest to 'up' the realism of everything else in your painting, from the hair, to the clothes to the hat: they look rather two dimensional compared to the awesome painting you did on the face.
Perhaps add more strands to the hair or add texture to the clothes? Maybe broaden the shoulders too?

You should add more shadows to the green of his tunic, for some reason it looks a little flat to me. But I think you did a great job!

I swear the shading is so detailed and well done that it looks frickn' realistic and full of win.

as for critiques.. hmm~
the hat looks a little too 2D, and the hair looks a little too chunky. you put a little too much focus on the face (though that's okay, since studies show that the face is almost always the first thing that a person looks at on a picture xDD)
the colors you use are also a little dull, but it fits the mood of the picture xD

if you used photoshop, I know a lot of people cheat by using those speckled brushes for hair eue (even though I don't.. but only because I'm too lazy to |D; )
