I totally get the concept, you did really well with having that shine through as for coloring, I would just say you might want to edit the purple out b/c it a little out of place but over all a great capture

I noticed it makes a cool avatar! As for the colour, I like the purple and yellow. I think a clearer picture would be nice at this size, and I would straighten the hair a little. It seems to be somewhat messy, but that might bring more to the theme of the picture.

Hey there! Really love the impact of the emotions in this piece. The lighting/color seems a bit off though, the purple at the top kind of confuses me. But I really like how it's cropped/placed.

The impact and theme is absolutely amazing. I love how you framed this and used clarity and light vs. shadow to portray such an acute emotion.
Aside from your beautiful use of light and cropping, the colour is a bit strange to me. The purple near the top is a bit out of place and distracting. Maybe that's my screen but I don't think so. I suggest complete sepia or maybe even black and white.. but sepia or antique style works better with melancholy.

I love the lighting but, I would appreciate it if there was a little more of the nose showing... or maybe just a little less shoulder. The balance just seems a little off.
Aside from that, I love the colour, lighting, and choice of clothes.
