Oof, I miss this place so much. Antelope Canyon, a now famous tourist destination, was not nearly as popular back in 2012, and certainly not in March when I visited. I befriended one of the Navajo guides, Vernon, and he gratefully agreed to take me on the star tour the night I was there. We light painted the walls and he told me old Navajo legends about Skin Stealers who whistle to communicate. I will never forget that night, driving through deep sand, nothing but darkness surrounding us as we made light with our cameras lenses where no light could be seen with our own eyes. © 2012-Current.
